Hotel Information: Stretching along its private beach like a pink, blue, and white ribbon, Shaw Park Beach Hotel All Inclusive attracts an international clientele seeking tranquility and isolation from other resorts. The genteel ambience is exemplified by a sea-view, English-colonial-style lobby with ceiling fans, polished wood floor, Asian rugs, Queen Anne–style furniture, cream-colored brocade seating, plants, flowers, and Jamaican wood carvings.

Amenity highlights: The hotel's 457m (500-yd) private beach along Cutlass Bay terminates at the White River. Gardens flank a 23m (75-ft) oval pool. The hotel supplies non-motorized water-sports gear, with motorized water sports and river rafting available for surcharges.

Insider tip: Shaw Park Botanical Gardens, 5.5 km (3.5 mi) from the hotel, is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The 10-hectare (25-acre) reserve includes a waterfall and a wide variety of lush tropical plants. The reserve is a partner property of the hotel, and guests receive a discount for guided tours.

This hotel offers 94 guestrooms and suites in two-story buildings without elevators and a three-story building with an elevator. All buildings are situated along the hotel's beach, with furnished balconies and ground-floor terraces providing close-up views of the Caribbean Sea. Televisions offer U.S. cable channels. Decor includes pale tile floors, white furniture, pale-yellow walls and drapes, and floral bedspreads. In-room safes are available for a daily surcharge of US$2.00 (subject to change).
